It was once belonged to an ancient Green Lantern construct called Ekron, a sentient floating island on the lost planet of Venegar (sometimes called Vengar). The Emerald Eye of Ekron is one of the most powerful weapons to ever exist in the universe. It provides its owner a variety of powers, similar to the effects of the Green Lantern Power Rings.
