Kalil el-Rashad was a human male serving in United Earth's Starfleet in the late 22nd century. In 2156, el-Rashad had attained the rank of Lieutenant commander and was serving as chief science officer and second officer aboard the Columbia (NX-02). He was killed when he ordered the Columbia into the unstable subspace apeture in 2168 by the hyperspacic radiation. (Destiny novel: Gods of Night)
