Luna attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1992 to 1999 and was sorted into Ravenclaw house. During her school years, Luna was picked on because of her superstitious beliefs, which she inherited from her father, whom had taken the death of his wife very hard. However, she became very close with Hermione Granger, who had taken upon herself to be a surrogate sister to Luna and look out for her, hexing any and all students who dared to bully her. She became a founding member of Harry's Court in 1993, and found herself accepted into a large circle of friends. She did fairly well in classes, though was by no means an academic genius. She did, however, excel at Care of Magical Creatures as well as Divination.
