The GSZ120 has a flatter body style than the standard (i.e. non-GIO) SZ models as well as a bolt-on rather than set-in neck joint and a tailpiece rather than a through body string arrangement. It features a fixed bridge and tailpiece, dual Ibanez humbucking pickups with individual volume controls and a 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. The GSZ220FM is a similar model with a flame maple top and covered pickups.
