Hale and Hardy are a muscular cat and dog duo who act as the secondary, later true main antagonists of the cartoon movie, Garfield Gets Real - they worked as a team and sought to replace Garfield and Odie as the new "stars" of the fictional world Garfield inhabited alongside many other fictional characters (the movie breaking the fourth-wall by having the characters know they were in comic strips).
