Morris Kotite (b. 14 Sept 1956; d. 24 Sept 1994) was a homicide detective with the Albuquerque Police Department. In September of 1994, he was murdered by the serial killer known as the Poet in such a way that his death appeared to be a suicide, with the words "I am haunted by ill angels" left as his supposed note.
