The SV guitar models are based on the S series models, but have a synchronized tremolo instead of a double locking system. Features of the SV5470A include a mahogany body with an ash top with binding and Ibanez pickups with a True Duo coil-split system. In 2009, a new middle position pickup was introduced along with a new finish. New additions for 2010 were the Wizard HP neck and another new finish. Similar models include the SV5470F (flamed maple top), the SV5470Q (quilted maple top), the SV5470 (plain maple top) and the SV5470QE (quilted maple top and EMG pickups).
