James Hartneady was a Manticoran citizen and a noncommissioned officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy. Holding the rank of Senior Chief Coxswain, he served aboard the survey ship Harvest Joy. He was killed when the vessel was destroyed by the Mannerheim System-Defense Force. (CS2)
