Smaragdos, the Emerald Blade, is a sword which belongs to the . It is the twin sword of Inferno. The blade's name refers to its green, emerald look. It was originally used by Omaroch d'Zarnagon but later ended up in the possession of Refan d'Zarnagon until the Battle of Vanna when Totenkopfs stole it. It possesses some magic, and it was also a medium through which the demon voices could communicate with Refan. Kareth d'Zarnagon absorbed some of the power from Smaragdos during the Second Battle of Myridia and eventually used that power to give birth to the Godslayer, which led to the Cataclysm. Since then it has fallen into the hands of the Totenkopfs.
