Sahand also known as Moudge 5 is an Iranian designed frigate launched November 2012. The vessel is able to fire and can be equipped with latest Iranian anti-ship missiles. The warship added to Iran’s arsenal to ensure security in the strait of Hormuz according to Fars News Agency.
