Castaneda was a resident on Lucre Island. During Guybrush Threepwood's time on the island while searching for The Ultimate Insult, he was playing against Mister Santiago in a game of chess using a timer. Unlike his opponent, Constananza would not be distracted by anything except for Brittany, who worked as the bank teller in the Second Bank of Lucre.
