Tercero is a military rank in the League of Nobles Armada. Xavier Harkonnen is a Tercero when the Cymeks attack Zimia in The Butlerian Jihad. The rank appears to be close to that of Major in many Armed Forces today. Additionally, Tercero means 'Third' in the Spanish language, which in turn comes from the Latin word 'Tertiarius'.
