Kenneth H. Cooper was born in 1931. In the late 1960's, Dr. Kenneth Cooper was a colonel in the US Air Force when his first book "Aerobics" became a bestseller. He is the founder and head of The Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas, a non-profit research and education organization. He also founded The Cooper Aerobics Center in Dallas and McKinney, Texas. Dr. Cooper is responsible for creating the Cooper Test, a cardiovascular fitness assessment originally designed for military.
