The first census of New Cambria was completed in 1692, and every seventh year thereafter until 1881, when the interval was reduced to every fifth year. The most recent census was conducted in 2006. Census results from 1692 to 1762 include only New Cambria Island. The 1769 census includes Cavit, Alaric and Sainte Claire Islands. Beginning with the 1776 census, the count has included all five islands.
