Irwin released his self-titled debut album in 1991, produced by Phil Ramone. He toured and occasionally recorded with Aerosmith, on keyboard and background vocals, and co-wrote their 2012 song "What Could Have Been Love." He also toured with Sting and Bryan Adams.
