Benden Hold was one of the early Holds of Pern. It was founded at about the same time as Benden Weyr. It was one of the three loyal Holds (with Bitra and Lemos) who continued to tithe to the Weyr even at the end of the Second Long Interval. Benden was the first Hold to be established on the east coast of the Northern Continent.
