Maualan fateh Muhammad Jallandhari produced an Urdu translation of the Qur'an in colloquial Urdu quite distinct from the one done by Saha Rafiuddin. Since Maulana Jallandhari did not belong to any particular Fiqh group of Sunni Muslims his translation was very widely appreciated by the Urdu speaking Muslims of Yje then India.
