Father Hector Redondo was an ordinary Catholic priest in New York City. He grew sick of having to absolve the sins of his criminal parishioners and took an axe to them. Taking the name The Holy he set himself up as the wrath of God and became a murderous vigilante - somewhat ironically this put the crazed ex-preacher in conflict with the Punisher.
