The War of the Regency spanned the years of 1260 DR and 1261 DR in Cormyr. It was a bloody civil war between the rightful king Rhigaerd II against the regent Salember Obarskyr. At the Battle of Hilp, three thousand men died, and a plague ravaged the countryside.
