Metroid Fusion Special Edition: Rebirth of Samus is an eight-page manga included with volume one of Samus and Joey. Based on Metroid Fusion, it covers the opening events of the game, from Samus' hospitalization to her battle with the Arachnus. The SA-X, despite not being in the manga, is featured on the cover. In November 2011, the Metroid Database translated it along with volume 1, chapter 5 of Samus and Joey.
