In 2174 SFC (c.2238) the Tehran, whilst under the command of Captain Luigi Pirelli, was assigned as the official observer in the Transporter Demonstration Project's verification test to prove that a humanoid could safely be transported. Science Officer Winslow of the USS Moscow was successfully transported to the Tehran and subjected to a tricorder scan by Tehran CMO O'Leary, who confirmed that there was no ill effects.
