Sliding worms are also produced as the offspring of the much larger Grave Digger mutants. A single worm is capable of growing into a Grave Digger over the span of a week. The sliding worms have only appeared during the Raccoon City Incident and were wiped out when the city was destroyed in a nuclear blast.
