Little is known about McIntosh, including why he chose to pursue a career in producing. He has produced a number of films and episodes for TV shows throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Prior to that, he was the production manager for a few feature films and TV show episodes. Shows McIntosh produced for include Equal Justice, Swift Justice, New York Undercover, Out of Order, and Criminal Minds. Starting in 2009, he also became involved in the sound department, editing and mixing sounds for a number of short films. He also acted and directed a couple of times during his career.
