Rekha at the age of 8 was taken as prisoner to hold her father to making deals that favored the Smuggling Guild. At the age of 15 when her captor decided that she would also now sleep in his bed, Rekha waited and stabbed him, escaping the ship with the crew following her. By devine interference she escaped to be found by another smuggler took her in and treated her like his daughter. Unwilling to give her name he gave her one similar to that of the famous Talon Karrde.
