David Quick was an outlaw prince who tried to conquer the city of Lud. He led the faction that would come to be known as the Grays. He was a large man, which led to comparisons of him to Lord Perth. He was the great-grandfather of Andrew Quick. His body was found in the cockpit of a crashed World War II plane. Quick had planned to use the plane to conquer Lud, but was unable to land it. He is briefly mentioned by Roland in The Wind Through the Keyhole, saying "a giantess to compare to the outlaw prince David Quick," once again showing his 'legendary' status.
