The SA160FM features an arched top mahogany body with a flamed maple top with a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Components include a non-locking synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez pickups in the HSS pickup configuration which is typical of this series. A similar model without the exotic top, the SA160, was produced until 2008. A similar model with a quilted maple top, the SA160QM was added in 2016. The SA160FML is a left-handed version.
