This Song serves as the climax for the fourth and final chapter of the Trials Arc in Ciel nosurge: Ushinawareta Hoshi e Sasagu Uta, and its original purpose is being the activator song for the Neptron: the service that was slated to replace the current Cielnotron setup and which would theoretically multiply by a factor of eight the power they could draw from the AI REON. However, this was just a ruse: since the Song also makes use of the TX Clusters program, its actual purpose is exchanging the souls of REON and the Diver that tries contacting it, as well as awakening REON's consciousness.
