Arek is a member of the elven council of Sanae and also one of the mentors of Nymgrock Sigiln when Nymgrock trained among the Court Mages of Sanae. He is more reasonable to humans than many others of his kin. While his jolly nature had kept him at an unfavorable distance from the high positions of the court, he was one of the most adept in sensing magical energies and powers. While Arek has never been completely pleased with Nymgrock's attitude, he respects Nymgrock's defiance to pursue his own path.
