Steven Deschain, also known as Roland the Elder, was a gunslinger in All-world. He was the son of Henry Deschain, the husband of Gabrielle Deschain, the father of Roland Deschain, and the grandfather of Mordred Deschain; he was also the 26th-great-grandson of Arthur Eld and Emmanuelle Deschain, and the 27th-great-grandson of Kay Deschain.
