The Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister, usually referred to as the Residence Chief of Staff is the official title of the officer in charge of the office of the Prime Minister of Georgeland. The Chief of Staff is usually a powerful figure inside the Prime Minister's political party, and co-ordinates the political activities of the Prime Minister and of the government. The Chief of Staff is regarded as a very powerful and influential person, and is usually the Prime Minister's closest adviser. The office came into existence officially in 1976, when the Office of the Prime Minister was formally created.
