The mind-trap was a security system fitted in the tunnels beneath the Dixie Pig by the Great Old Ones to guard the New York/Fedic Door. When activated, trespassers will be stopped dead in their tracks. The device accesses a person’s deepest and oldest fears, then makes those fears manifest. The vision is an illusion, but the body reacts to the visual stimuli as if they were real and the victim dies of heart failure.
