Phsant was a large city of 30,000 inhabitants (as of 1479 DR) in Thesk. Phsant sat along the Golden Way. It was the site of the defeat of the Tuigan Horde and had a large orc population. The orcs formed part of the army that defeated the Horde and were accepted members of the populace, having taken jobs as miners, farmers, guards, and mercenaries. The high population of orcs attracted half-orc women who sought a more civilized lifestyle than that available in an orc settlement.
