Easy Studios was founded in 2008 in Stockholm, Sweden. The company was founded by Electronic Arts to create games using the new "Play4Free" service regulated by Electronic Arts. Easy Studios has co-developed other games in EA's Play4Free catalog such as Lord of Ultima and Battleforge. Easy Studio's two Battlefield games, Heroes and Play4Free, were shutdown on July 14, 2015. The studio's website began redirecting to DICE's website sometime after March 2015, suggesting that the studio merged back with DICE following the shutdown.
