Rovers picked up their first league point of the 2013–14 season thanks to a goalless draw with Scunthorpe United. One event of note during this game was captain Tom Parkes being stretchered off unconscious during the first half following a collision with Deon Burton. He eventually came round in the dressing room and was taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
