Welcome to Rise of the South, a map game about the rise of the Confederate States of America during the American Civil War. On the date of April 2, 1865, Lieutenant General Nelson Appleton Miles of the Union launched an attempt to capture the Sutherland Station of Dinwiddle County, Virginia to cut off the supply lines of General Robert E. Lee of the Confederate States of America. In the end Lieutenant General Miles assault to capture the station has failed, suffering more than 4000 casualties and failing his objective to take the station.
