Emily Bishop has volunteered here since her retirement in 1989 (but also worked at the hospital as an orderly from 1976-1978). She has manned the hospital shop and cafe, provided chaplaincy support and acted as a ward assistant. As a long-term volunteer she acts as a supervisor to those who are completing community service here like Janice Battersby in 2008.
