The Squirrel King is the ruler of all the squirrels in the Land of Oz. He lives in a forest in the Winkie Country. When two children were lost and hungry in his forest, they raided his store of nuts. He tied them to a tree, but Jack Pumpkinhead and the Saw-Horse came to their rescue. Jack's pumpkin head was smashed, but the Sawhorse carried him and the children to freedom.
