The Galactic Alliance Guard (GAG) was the secret police force of the Galactic Alliance, created in 40 ABY as part of the Alliance government's counter-terrorism policy. Designed for intelligence assessment and special operations, the Guard's members were drawn from the ranks of Coruscant Security Force, Intelligence Service and the Defense Force, specifically for the purposes of monitoring seditious activities—either suspected or confirmed—and neutralizing terrorist threats on Coruscant, the capital world of the Galactic Alliance.
