Traven Kariss was the wife of Jodo Kast and the mother of Silas, Kyr and Myles Kast. Traven was a reporter and journalist for the Keldabe-based MandalNews corporation, she often used her post as a way of generating positive publicity for the Mandalorian warriors, her husband being a member of the Mandalorian Protectors. She was known for her intense journalistic and philosophical rivalry with Fave Diloni, a reporter for the Coruscant-based HoloNet News, Fave has been known to misrepresent facts, in a way some have called "rewriting history".
