During the Lucian Alliance invasion of Destiny, Tamara Johansen (pregnant at the time) was shot in the abdomen. Doctors operated and were able to stop the bleeding and save T.J.'s life, but were not able to save the baby. However, T.J. experienced a different series of events. After she was shot, she awoke in a bed in a cabin with her baby safe and alive next to her. She was greeted by Robert Caine, who explained that the aliens that watch over the planet and the former Expedition members, had chosen to save her baby.
