In late 2011, the American mega-conglomerate, the EcruFox Corporation, bought several South American military equipment producers: Escadar Armory and Odolus Defense of Venezuela, Conso Dynamics of Suriname, and Preto Mesa of Argentina. The EcruFox Corporation, already at the time one of the largest defense contractors of the Allied States government and other nations, sought to expand its business to Southern America, and bought what it saw as the top four arms companies on the continent. The official transaction took place on September 17th, 2011. EcruFox gained all corporate documents and employees.
