KnowThyNeighbor.org is a Massachusetts-based website that indexes the names of residents who signed the 2005 anti-same-sex marriage petition that resulted in two state constitutional conventions for amending the state constitution towards such a ban. It was set up in 2005 by Massachusetts residents Tom Lang, a gay married man, and Aaron Toleos, a straight married man. Since the legislature in the constitutional convention defeated the amendment in 2007, similar KnowThyNeighbor initiatives were established in Florida and Oregon.
