Storm Acolytes were the most gifted among the Storm Riders students. They were young shugenja who had begun learning the absolute mastery over the sea and weather. They ensured that the Mantis Clan fleets moved safely and swiftly through the seas, they also ensured the weather was favorable where the Mantis grew their few land-based crops, and lessening the effects of storms and other natural disasters.
