Gardner Shaw was the husband of Francesca Corleone. Francesca approached her uncle Michael during Anthony's party at Lake Tahoe in 1958, to ask for his blessing to marry Gardner. He was studying fine arts and came from a wealthy family. He was also a stockholder of his family's corporation.
