Volkstaat is a Boer and Afrikaner survivor state in the former African nation of South Africa and is a member nation of the New Union of South Africa. Its name in Afrikaans means "People's Nation". The nation's origin lies in the trek led by General Constand Viljoen to establish a free state for Afrikaners, free from danger.
