Straight Nightmare (ストレートナイトメア Sutorēto Naitomea?) is a Shoulder-type laser weapon that Vile obtains by defeating Sting Chameleon and Storm Eagle in Mega Man Maverick Hunter X. When equipped with this weapon, Vile fires a beam of blue circles from his cannon. As with the rest of Vile's other laser weapons, Straight Nightmare is capable of piercing enemy shields, however it also has the ability to go though enemies, walls and other forms of terrain. Like Rising Specter, this weapon cannot be aimed - it can only be fired straight forward. Its range is at least the width of the screen.
