The Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) is a U.S.-based healthcare industry group that lobbied for HIPAA A/S, and that has a formal consultative role under the HIPAA legislation. WEDI also sponsors the Strategic National Implementation Process (SNIP).
