Borthas, the second world within the habitable zone of the Cuunen System, is an irradiated desert world. While the atmosphere by its composition is perfectly breathable, it is highly dangerous to do so for any length of time without the usage of radiation filters or medicamentation. As well, the high average temperature of world and air alike are a severe issue to baseline Kartanin - which is why most of the felines on Borthas hail from Aralya. Other population groups consist of Frenna, Altari and Nitaaru, and a few humans and Garagosians have come to the planet as well. Especially the Garagosians and Nitaaru are highly prized here for their radiation resistance.
