Delirious and his crew came under some controversy when they joined Tails and The Ultimax on a rescue mission, escorting refugees from the Maple Flower Zone through underground tunnels. The Ultimax-Eye broadcast the operation on live television, allowing Doctor Robotnik to discover the secret mission. The tyrant ordered his forces to fire on the tunnel, trapping the film crew in a rock fall. Dexter Bagstille became racked with guilt, as he created The Ultimax-Eye with the goal of becoming world-renowned heroes. The crew continued to report from behind a wall of rubble and were eventually rescued by Mr Diggum and his family. Despite this ordeal, Delirious continued to report on top-secret information until he was forcably stopped.
