Translators were from 17 countries: Brasil, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, and the United States. The full name of the Constitution is the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe (TCE). The lengthy document seemed headed for ratification by large margins when French and Dutch voters unexpectedly rejected it in referendums. Its future now is uncertain.
